MinewSemi, an innovative IoT module expert, and Camgenium, a UK-based MedTech software and connected medical device specialist, today announced a co-marketing collaboration aimed at helping medical device manufacturers accelerate the development of secure, connected healthcare solutions while supporting regulatory-focused medical device development.
The collaboration combines MinewSemi's certified Nordic-based wireless modules with Camgenium's Foundation Core, a medical-device software platform designed to simplify the development of connected medical devices while supporting regulatory compliance.

Developing connected medical devices requires more than reliable wireless communication. Manufacturers must also address cybersecurity, software lifecycle management, secure firmware updates, traceability, and increasingly complex regulatory requirements.
By combining MinewSemi’s wireless connectivity solutions with Camgenium’s Foundation Core, device developers can leverage a more streamlined architecture that reduces development complexity and shortens the path toward regulatory approval.
The collaboration currently focuses on two Nordic-based MinewSemi modules:
MS45SF1 - Bluetooth® Low Energy module based on Nordic nRF5340, providing reliable BLE connectivity for medical devices.
MS12SF1 - Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth LE module based on Nordic nRF7002 and nRF5340, enabling secure wireless connectivity for cloud-connected medical applications.
Together, these modules provide flexible connectivity options for a wide range of connected healthcare products, including portable medical devices, remote patient monitoring systems, wearable healthcare products, and smart diagnostic equipment.
Camgenium's Foundation Core provides a regulatory-focused software architecture that helps medical device developers integrate secure communications, audit logging, firmware management, and other software capabilities required during connected medical device development.
Combined with MinewSemi’s production-ready wireless modules, the joint solution helps developers reduce engineering effort while accelerating time-to-market.
“Our goal is to make wireless connectivity easier to integrate into next-generation medical devices,” said Archy An (Marketing Manager of MinewSemi). “By working with Camgenium, we're helping developers combine proven wireless hardware with a software platform designed specifically for connected healthcare applications.”
Dr Philip Gaffney OBE, CEO of Camgenium, commented:
"MinewSemi's modules give our customers approved, well-engineered radios on Nordic silicon, and Foundation Core gives those modules a route through medical-device regulation. Together they shorten the path from idea to a connected device that a manufacturer can take to a notified body with confidence."
As connected healthcare continues to evolve, secure wireless communication has become a fundamental requirement for modern medical devices.
Through this collaboration, MinewSemi and Camgenium aim to provide medical device developers with a more complete foundation for building connected healthcare solutions that combine reliable wireless connectivity with regulatory-focused software infrastructure.
The companies will also collaborate on technical content, solution demonstrations, and joint marketing initiatives to support the global MedTech community.
Camgenium (L2S2 Ltd) specialises in the development and deployment of regulatory-compliant medical software, AI and connected hardware. The company has developed medical software from Cambridge for over twenty years and works to standards including ISO 13485:2016 and ISO 27001:2022.
